Special Events

401 Richmond hosts a number of special events each year that open our building to the public in unique and engaging ways. You can come and pay us a visit anytime, but if you have a special interest in art, architecture, culture, or craft, we have an event that will appeal to you.

Built for Art

SEPTEMBER 17 - OCTOBER 17

OUR COMPLETE PROGRAM GUIDE IS NOW ONLINE!
Every fall we celebrate arts and culture at 401 Richmond with special exhibition programming and events that engage the creative community in the building and beyond. This year the program is called Built for Art and includes our annual group exhibition - Built for Us - that encourages selected artists to use our adapted factory building for installations that build relationships between art, space, and the community.

Built for Art is an independent project with Scotiabank Nuit Blanche. For one night only, our Built for Us artists will be joined by screenings, performances, and other special happenings on
October 2 from 6:57 pm to sunrise.
Built for Art will also be participating in the inaugural Culture Days on September 24 and 25.


Brickolage Tour Series

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 25

A program of monthly tours at 401 Richmond Street West.
Get up-close-and-personal at the city’s most creative address!

Each tour starts 12:30 pm at 401 Richmond in the main lobby and is free of charge.
This series is hosted by Associate Director of the Toronto Arts Council William Huffman.
Our September tour will be a special Culture Days edition.

Holiday Marketplace

DECEMBER 9 - 12, 2010

The Holiday Marketplace is an annual event held during the holiday shopping season and offers a wide selection of original gifts made by local artisans and craftspeople including many who have studio space at 401 Richmond. It is a magical event that celebrates the creative spirit that makes 401 Richmond such a unique place.

Jane's Walk
